The sun shone over Forest Meadow 🎵 so brightly that it looked like a giant, hot lightbulb hanging in the cloudless sky. The day was exceptionally hot, and the air seemed to shimmer and dance from the heat. Over in Daisy Meadow, all the little flowers drooped their white heads, looking for a tiny bit of shade to help them through this tough time.
Inside the Forest Meadow Fire Station, however, it was nice and cool 🎵. On this day, Henry the Hedgehog, who usually baked delicious cinnamon cookies, decided not to use his oven. Instead, he stood by the counter, crushing ice into little pieces 🎵. The sound of cracking ice cubes tumbling into a big pitcher 🎵 filled the whole kitchen. Henry was making delicious, minty iced tea for the team, knowing that staying hydrated on such a hot day was super important.
Fiona Fox stood in front of a big mirror in the locker room. She adjusted her yellow firefighter helmet and smiled at her reflection. Her fluffy tail wagged happily from side to side.
“I am Firefighter Fiona, ready to help!” she said proudly, taking a big gulp of the refreshing, minty drink.
Suddenly, the peaceful quiet in the fire station was broken by the sharp, ringing sound of the fire alarm 🎵. Clang! Clang! The red light on the ceiling began to flash brightly, casting dancing shadows on the walls. Derek the Dog, the calm and steady fire chief, walked into the garage 🎵. He held a walkie-talkie in his paw, looking very serious.
“We have a call, team!” he announced in a firm but gentle voice. “There is smoke at the edge of the forest. We also got a report that Hoppy the bunny has fainted from the heat and needs our help right away. The wind is picking up, so we need to hurry. To the fire truck!”
The firefighters sprang into action. Betty the Bear quickly jumped behind the steering wheel. Fiona pulled on her heavy, protective firefighter suit. The big engine of the red fire truck roared to life 🎵 with a deep rumble, making the garage floor shake just a little bit.
They drove out of the station. Wee-woo! The wailing sound of the sirens 🎵 cut through the thick, hot air, echoing across the sleepy town. The truck zoomed down the scorching road, its big tires peeling off the melting, sticky asphalt.
