Benny the Bunny could draw a perfectly round sun 🎵, and he knew how to sharpen all his crayons 🎵 by himself to make them nice and pointy. But there was one thing he could not do: he did not know how to handle it when his artwork wasn’t absolutely perfect 🎵. And today was painting day!

The children were given big white sheets of paper 🎵, thick brushes, and little jars of colorful paint. Benny decided to paint a portrait of his best friend, Buster the Puppy. Right next to him, Cleo the Cat was painting the most beautiful rainbow with seven bright colors.

Benny worked very, very hard. He stuck the tip of his tongue out 🎵 to help him focus and stay right inside the lines. He painted Buster’s floppy brown ears, his happy eyes, and his red collar. It looked wonderful, exactly the way he had planned 🎵. All he had left to paint was a little black nose.

But when Benny dipped his brush into the black paint, he scooped up just a little too much. As he moved the brush over his paper… SPLAT! A giant black drop of paint fell 🎵 from his brush right into the middle of the portrait! Instead of a cute little nose, there was a big, ugly, messy blob on the paper.

Benny felt a hot, angry feeling growing deep inside his tummy. His perfect painting was ruined! Benny’s ears stood straight up 🎵, and his little face turned bright red. He curled his free paw into a tight fist and stomped his back foot on the floor 🎵. THUMP! THUMP! THUMP!

“Ruined! It’s all ruined! This is the ugliest painting in the whole wide world!” he shouted.
