The Persistent Seed

Once upon a time, in a colorful garden, there lived a tiny seed. It was so small that even ants had to wear glasses to see it! But although it was tiny, it had ENORMOUS dreams.
“One day,” the seed whispered to itself, wiggling excitedly, “I’ll grow into the most beautiful, most wonderful, and most colorful flower in the whole garden! I’ll be so tall that I’ll reach the clouds!”
One day, a gardener came with a huge watering can.
“Oh my, what’s going to happen?” wondered the seed as the gardener began to water it 🎵.
Under the soil it was dark, but the seed wasn’t afraid. It was as warm as being in the coziest pajamas.
“Tomorrow I’ll start growing,” decided the seed and fell asleep, snoring softly 🎵: “Prrr, prrr, prrr…”
Morning came, but something was wrong. The soil was as dry as a cracker.
“Hmm, where’s the rain?” wondered the seed. “I need more water.”
Days passed, and still no rain fell. The soil became as hard as stone 🎵.
“This is very difficult,” sighed the seed. “But I won’t give up! Grandma Pit always said that patience pays off… although I wish it would pay off faster!”
One morning, the seed heard a strange sound 🎵: drip-drop, splash-splash!
“Hello, little one!” called Rain cheerfully, soaking into the soil. “Sorry I’m late. I got stuck in traffic over the desert!”
“Hooray!” rejoiced the seed, feeling the water tickling its shell. “Better late than never! Now I can finally start growing!”
And indeed, the seed first sprouted a tiny root that looked like a funny little tail. Then a green shoot appeared, breaking through the soil.
“Wow! What a view!” marveled the seed as its shoot peeked above the ground. “I can see the world! It’s bigger than I thought and more… green!”
But the joy didn’t last long. All around grew huge plants with leaves as big as umbrellas, blocking the sun 🎵.
